The Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence

Website Design

The University of Pittsburgh graduates a class of future entrepreneurs each year, but their support of closely held business and entrepreneurial firms doesn’t just extend to graduation – or even just to Pitt alumni. The Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) is a self-sustaining Institute at the University of Pittsburgh that was created to leverage the incredible resources of Pitt in the growth and development of closely held businesses and entrepreneurial firms. Founded by Ann Dugan in 1993, IEE celebrated its 20th anniversary of success in 2013. However, after 20 years, IEE didn’t have much of an identity apart from Pitt. They came to us looking for a way to stand-alone in their branding, make their content more digestible to business, and to increase

membership. We found that IEE had many inspiring stories to tell, but their current website wasn’t sharing these stories. We chose to showcase IEE members from every stage of entrepreneurship, from startup to success, so that any entrepreneur can find an example to identify with. We used a minimalist design that fit nicely with Pitt’s look, but was unique enough to set them apart. To catch visitors’ eyes, we tried out new, animated graphics, and both teams were thrilled with the outcome.

Imagebox did an amazing job with totally redesigning our website, which now serves as an integral marketing tool for the Institute. Their project management skills are superb, and they are extremely easy to work with. The entire team is creative, responsive and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Imagebox.
