East Liberty Presbyterian Church

The current building which houses East Liberty Presbyterian Church has been a stunning addition to vibrant East Liberty since 1935.  Vibrant is also an appropriate word for their congregation – a melting pot of people from all walks of life. Their mission is to love God while embracing individuality. But their website was in need of a miracle. A confusing and clumsy navigation and decades of outdated content made it difficult for worshippers to find the information that they needed. Potential congregation members were often unaware of the openness and progressive attitude of ELPC. Traditional Presbyterian values put less emphasis on diversity and acceptance. And many were also unaware of the wide variety of programs available at ELPC beyond worship. And so, our challenge was to make everything more clear.

They needed a fresh, contemporary look that matched their outlook on faith. We featured their stunning building front-and-center, highlighting it as a local landmark, but stayed minimal in design. A tasteful rainbow color scheme was chosen for their responsive website to reflect their commitment to the LGBT community. This project took our organization skills to the next level as we managed content such as sermons, events, and resources collected over decades. We are using our new skills to keep everything organized on our continued design work with ELPC.

In a rapidly changing, social media environment, our congregation recognized that our existing website was cumbersome and outdated. After interviewing several firms, we settled on the team at Imagebox Productions and have been thrilled with their work for us. John and his staff listened carefully to our concerns and our hopes for the website, provided timely feedback for our questions, training for managing and editing our own material, and follow-up support when needed. The fresh look of our enhanced Internet presence has increased viewership and been a positive outreach tool for our church and its ministry.
