Shadyside Presbyterian Church seeks to reflect God’s unconditional love as we proclaim, witness to, and celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ. They strive to be a worshiping, welcoming, learning, and serving community of faith that is comforted, challenged, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Taking engagement beyond the weekend.

For years, the Shadyside Presbyterian Church has invited architects and lawyers, nursery workers and teachers, doctors and students, and people from all walks of life to join them and become a part of a living spiritual mosaic of Christ in the church and throughout the community.

Challenges and Opportunities

Church is different today – and reaching new people means using today’s new tools. Shadyside Presbyterian wanted to create a first class, modern experience for their audience, helping them make the leap from online visitor to in-person guest by designing a new web presence that reflected their authentic, diverse and welcoming personality.

To modernize the Church yet honor its distinguished history, Imagebox developed a new digital front door to their organization – one that connected both congregation and community.

Inspiring others to find their place in the mosaic of faith.

An Action-Oriented Website

We focused on the details and thought about the user experience first to create something that encourages exploration. Anywhere you go on the site, you’ll be guided toward a next step. Users have engagement immediately available to them, no matter where they are – on the site, in their faith journey or on any device.

Creating a Community

With its roots in Christian learning, Shadyside Presbyterian Church has never forgotten its origins. And the Church wanted to extend that emphasis on learning & community to the website. From Live Worship Webcasts to a fully functioning Event Calendar, the site provides visitors with easy access to the most current, up-to-date information about all the latest happenings and encourages people to get involved.

Photography and Video

The old adage that a picture is worth a thousand words has never been truer than in today’s society. By blending strategically placed imagery throughout the website, we were able to provide visitors a glimpse into what Shadyside Presbyterian Church was all about. It brought the in-person experience of being at the church online, and gave visitors something to stop and stare at as they explored each page of the new website.
